Capital Isn’t Built By One Man Alone: On “The Epstein Class”

Since the release of the Epstein Files, the vast network Jefferey Epstein was able to amass to investors, CEOs, celebrities, functionaries, politicians, monarchs, etc. has been brought to light. The human trafficking aspect, especially of minors, has become a particular focus, understandably so. The depravity and human suffering the victims of this network suffered is enough to make anyone with a conscious erupt with unbridled hatred. So much so, the term “Epstein Class” is gaining popularity.

Not only has the term permeated every conceivable facet of social media, it’s being picked up by political commentators and organizers alike. Even organizations, in particular the American “Communist” Party (ACP) and the “Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA) have synthesized it into their rhetoric. The ACP recently shot an effigy of Epstein as part of a photo op, with their leadership and rank-and-file pairing this with bizarre ramblings of “Baal” and the state of Israel to highlight Epstein's political relationships, (though the clear anti-semetic subtext must be highlighted). The RCA meanwhile, has continued their practice of taking whatever is in the popular consciousness (online) and marrying it to “socialism” in increasingly superficial ways. A recent example is their lauding of Luigi Mangione as a hero of the working class under the slogan “expropriate the billionaires!”

The point of drawing attention to the actions of these organizations is by no means to simply make ourselves stand out, nor to dismiss the heinous crimes of Jeffery Epstein and everyone implicated through the investigations and release of the files. The point is to highlight the naked opportunism that birthed the “Epstein Class” phrase. This is gross sloganeering and distraction. Jeffrey Epstein himself was only able to accrue the power he possessed because of the capital that was in his grasp, his fortune and his investments. He was able to invest in blackmail, rape, extortion, and psychological manipulation because of his own relationship to capital and his network of capitalist partners.

This is a man who had contacts such as Christopher Poole (a.k.a moot), and Steve Bannon, who collectively groomed and manipulated the youth online en masse. Fixed contacts with the most powerful people on earth, including U.S. President Donald Trump. From the most obscure, to the highest profile, this is someone who acted above all else as an agent of capital, manipulating people and markets alike to make himself and others fabulously wealthy.

Thus, anything that distracts from the foundation of the capitalist system in promoting sexual perversion and power playing is doing every victim and our entire class a disservice. We can’t opportunistically adopt slogans because they’re trending on X, instead we must analyze the inner workings of the system of capital to focus the anger of the masses at the very heart of the issue. We must overthrow capitalism, and every single disgusting, pedophilic capitalist, agent, and toadie must be removed from what gives them their power, and brought to justice by the proletariat.
