Always With Cuba

The following is translated to English from a joint press release between communist parties of the Americas, in defense of the Cuban Revolution and against the imperialist blockade. The campaign is also covered by Prensa Latina.

This Wednesday, October 29, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly will be held, where the draft resolution to end the criminal and imperialist blockade against the brave people of Cuba will once again be put to a vote.

In this context, communists from Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, the United States, Brazil, and other countries on the continent are raising our voices in defense of Commander Fidel's homeland and taking on the communications initiative, a Marathon, "Always With Cuba": a joint action that seeks to break through imperialism's media blockade, raise awareness, and strengthen internationalist solidarity with socialist Cuba.

The marathon will begin with a tweetstorm on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m. (Mexico) and 8:00 p.m. (Ecuador), with the aim of generating opinion within the social network X.

On Instagram, coordinated content will be disseminated and published on the parties' official accounts, with the aim of impacting young audiences.

Finally, on Wednesday, October 29, while the UN vote is taking place, representatives of various communist youth organizations will hold a dialogue on the TikTok platform about the impacts of the blockade and the challenges facing anti-imperialist youth in a capitalist world.

The goal of this marathon is to show the world the injustices that US imperialism inflicts on the dignified and courageous people of Cuba, to intensify solidarity on social media, and to reaffirm the commitment to proletarian internationalism that unites us.

Fraternally,
